The Making of a PocketMe...
Our 3D photo booth takes photos of you (and up to 3 other people) in 360 degrees with dozens of synchronized cameras.
Using magic, we create a PocketPortrait for you to view and share with friends. Zoom, rotate, and pan the high resolution scan.
A shmancy 3D printer lovingly extrudes your full color figurine made of sandstone. Your PocketMe is born!
2-3 weeks after the scan, your PocketMe arrives at its new home: yours!
How can I get a PocketMe?
Visit our 3D portrait studio in Fisherman's Wharf or in Berkeley.
Why would I want a PocketMe?
Photographs are great, but as humans we're programmed to see and feel in 3D. A PocketMe is a great alternative or complement to photographs for:
family portraits, custom sports trophies, holiday gifts, wedding cake toppers, uniformed occupation portraits, charting your children's growth, keepsakes of grandparents, graduation portraits, fashion shoots, prom portraits, video game models, pregnancy portraits....
...In short: if your memories deserve depth, you deserve a PocketMe.
What should I wear to my 3D portrait session?
Wear whatever you want. Clothes with patterns come out especially well.
How long does a 3D portrait session take?
Budget about 10 minutes for your portrait session.
Do I need to stand still for a long time?
Nope. We 3D scan you in a fraction of a second.
How long after I've ordered my PocketMe can I expect it to be delivered?
This would make a great gift! Can I get a gift certificate?
Absolutely! Just contact us to request a gift certificate.
Can I send a picture instead of visiting a PocketMe booth?
To capture a detailed 3d model, you'll need to stop by our studio in person so we can take your image from a variety of angles.
Can I get a 3D photo without buying a print?
Yes. You can get a 3D scan without buying a print.
Can more than one person get scanned together?
Yes. We can scan up to 5 people together. (We can scan larger groups in batches and combine afterward.)
Can I get a PocketMe of my pet?
Yes! We can turn your dogs and cats into PocketPets .... sorry, fish are too tricky.
What's a PocketMe made of?
A sandstone-like material. The 3D printer prints layers of adhesive to bind the material and prints color on the exterior.
How should I care for my PocketMe?
Don't: drop it, wet it, or expose it to direct sunlight.
- Do: give it plenty of love.
Can I order duplicates laters?
We'll keep your 3D scan on file, so you can order discounted duplicates as you wish.
Can I have a PocketMe 3D photobooth at my next event?
Yes! We can bring our 3D photo booth to your next corporate event, wedding, quinceanera, bar mitzvah, school portrait session, convention, or anything else. You can also rent out our beautiful 1,000 sq ft studio in Fisherman's Wharf for an event to remember. Contact us for a quote.
